Installation: Stationary RV Setup
Internet for a Stationary RV
Provided a shared internet connection for everyday use at the customer’s RV site.
The Challenge
Weak reception inside the RV made everyday browsing, streaming, and communication unreliable at its stationary location.
The Installed Solution
Mounted and aligned an outdoor directional LTE unit, then configured a dedicated router to distribute the connection inside the RV.
The Outcome
Provided a shared internet connection for everyday use at the customer’s RV site.
Equipment Details
Outdoor MikroTik SXT LTE directional unit (SXTR) and MikroTik router. Secured using a specialized exterior RV mount (such as a ladder kit or surface suction mount) paired with a lightweight aluminum or telescoping fiberglass mast. Weather-resistant cabling and power equipment supplied as specified.
Performance Notes
The specialized exterior mast configuration successfully overcame the heavy signal shielding inherent to modern fiberglass and aluminum RV shells. Internal speeds surged from a unusable 3 Mbps indoor average to a clear 52 Mbps download and 18 Mbps upload. Ping metrics flattened out to a responsive 40ms throughout the interior living space. All hardware mounts and telescoping locking pins were verified tight, secure against localized vibration, and flagged for mandatory stowage prior to any future vehicle transit.

Customer Feedback
The signal inside our RV was inconsistent, and using our phones as hotspots was frustrating. The outdoor setup gave us a connection we could share across our devices.
